We use Stevia or Splenda to sweeten our cookies. Most of the time we use Stevia but it is not always available from our suppliers. If one or the other is important to you, please let us know (by email) when you place your order. We will be happy to make them the way you want.
If you are trying them for the first time I strongly urge you to use them as designed for at least one week first. That is, eat only the cookies during the day and a healthy, low calorie supper. If you do this you will see how much the cookies satisfy you and how easy the weight loss is. After you see this, then if you want to use them differently or in place of a snack you can. Different people use them differently. I want to make sure everyone experiences how well they work for rapid weight loss before experimenting on your own.
I'm afraid not. The cookies have a pleasant taste. However, we are not selling the taste we are selling the effectiveness as a weight loss aid. The product is proven to be effective and we have many re-orders. If you are very, very picky about taste or flavor I recommend you order one days worth first just to test the taste.
Remember that the cookies will not make you lose weight. You have to first decide it is really time and then the cookies will help you... no, they will enable you to stick to a very low calorie diet in order to lose the weight in a short amount of time. If you are not ready to make that commitment I suggest you freeze the cookies until you are.
No! No! No! It is not mold or fungus. It is a small piece of soy flour that did not get mixed in well. Very rarely there may be a small bit of dry cookie dough mix that does not get mixed in well with the liquid ingredients. These are the result of making the cookies by hand. We do not use commercial mixers. The cookies are prepared in a licensed and certified commercial bakery and we maintain a "clean room" environment. Plus, we add a natural mold-inhibitor to the dough. The cookies can not grow mold. I have shelf-life studies of cookies that are 11 months old and they still do not have mold on them!

There is really no reason to order more than 2 weeks. More than that is just taking up space. If you've never ordered before and worry about the taste, I would order 1 day to start. Otherwise, 1 or 2 weeks is plenty. You can always re-order and the longest it would take is 5 days to get them. We don't make the cookies until your order comes in. We allow 3 days to fill your order then ship by priority mail which usually takes 2 days. This way you get your cookies in 5 or less days. We are currently working on a "best if used by..." date. It looks like it will be somewhere around 2 to 3 months.
Yes. After placing your order simply email me of your request.
The cookies are very pleasant tasting... some say they are really good! Let me give you a few suggestions. Don't taste them for the first time after you have eaten "normal" food. For example, don't eat breakfast, then eat a big mac, then taste the R&D Diet Cookie diet aid. You probably won't be too impressed. Instead, eat one first thing in the morning, preferably after you have gotten a little hungry. This may be at 6 AM or it may be closer to noon. Eat one with a cup of coffee, tea or soda. You will appreciate it more and you will then have the opportunity to see how it works.
Yes. I will email everyone with the name of the person who wins. If the winner approves I will also include their email address.
Yes. Each month we start over so when you hear that someone else has won make sure you come back and enter to win again!
It's entirely up to you. If you are otherwise healthy, don't be afraid to lose it quickly. The R&D Diet Cookie diet aid will enable you to lose the weight quickly but more importantly it enables you to take control of your weight so that you will stop yo-yo-ing. It is the yo-yo-ing that is most dangerous!
If you have 20 lbs or so to lose feel free to get on the program and stay on it until you have lost the weight (1 or 2 months).
If you have a lot of weight to lose you may be more comfortable with taking it in stages. The weight will come off fastest at the beginning so get on the program and lose 30 lbs or so right away. Then go off the very low calorie diet for 2 or 3 months and work on keeping the weight off. Don't feel bad if you have to use the cookies now and then in order to maintain control of your eating. Actually, I urge you to use the cookies in order to maintain control and keep the weight off. You may find that 2 or 3 days a week you chose to start your day with 1 or 2 cookies. You won't have to use them forever, I promise. After you've kept the weight off for a couple of months, go on the R&D Diet Cookie diet aid again seriously until you lose your next amount (20 or 30 lbs). Repeat until you are done.
No. Feel free to eat 2 or 3 at once. I know you have to "feel" like you ate something. Even if you end up eating double the usual amount at the beginning you will still have lowered your daily calorie intake drastically and you will lose weight.
I do it myself occasionally! I use it as a tool after a weekend of indulging. After a while it seems more difficult to stay faithful to the cookies. Take a day or two to get into ketosis eating protein only (no carbs). Then eat the cookies during the day and one or two low calorie Atkins-friendly meals such as a mushroom omelete or tuna/boiled egg salad. "Low-calorie" basically means not too much cheese or cream or too much great-tasting sauces that cause you to over-eat. The chocolate cookies taste great as an evening treat. Actually, all the cookies taste better while you are on Atkins! This way, the cookies keep you from feeling deprived and help you keep your daily calories down so you still lose weight quickly.
The cookies are best and remain unchanged for at least a month if kept in a cool, dry location (for example not in direct sunlight in a car). At about two months the cookies start to get slightly crumbly and are a little more firm. At four months the cookies are more crumbly and there is a slight discoloration starting around the raisins, cranberries, or apricots. The cookies are very crumbly at 6 months and there is a little more discoloration. The cookies remain effective and they do not "go bad" but the physical appearance and texture changes with time.
Yes. We still ship by USPS Priority Mail so the shipping charges are higher but we do ship there. We charge what the US Post Office charges for a medium flat rate box to Canada.
